The new publication contains three chapters. The first part deals with the procedure from the submission of the application for membership to accession negotiations. The second part deals with the experiences of the new member states and current candidates. The third chapter, dedicated to Croatia, explains the relation between the Republic of Croatia and the EU, submission of application for membership, the steps following the submission, as well as accession negotiations.

The Ministry of Foreign affairs and European Integration wishes to inform Croatian citizens about the activities which are necessary for successful accession to the European Union, as well as to encourage them to remain involved in this process leading towards the common goal- the membership of the European Union.
